So we were watching Project Runway the other day, which I love. And it was showing the previews and they said, You\'ll be designing for a fashion icon. . .
And my husband says,
Oh. Fashion Icon. --The mudflap girl?
What. What?
Or at least until I can get help uploading my photo diary. . .
I found this site (a few sites actually) where you can send letters and/or packages to kids in the hospital. I wanna work on a way to do it regularly and cheaply.
This all started in my drive to honor my friend who died recently --such an incredible person. He was sick in the hospital in the end and wouldn't be in his room when people went to visit sometimes --he'd be next door visiting the person who didn't have any family to come see him. . . That as sick as he was he still was being there for people, being a friend to someone who needed him. We can all do a small thing that means the world to someone. Nick taught me that.
Here's the site:

anybody have any ideas of care packages to send? what would be good for a kid in the hospital?
and there I thought I had nothing to write about. . .
I'm only wearing one contact --trouble with the other one, gonna see somebody in a few days blah blah blah.
At work I went to smell a flower (Btw it didn't have any smell. What's the point of that? yellow tiger lily type thing.), and thinking in my head careful careful no depth perception. . . and yep. Hit the flower with my face. I was wearing lip balm and my lip stuck to it as I pulled away. And there were people around and I was totally embarrassed. So of course I had to tell everyone about it and now write about it here in a blog.
My friend at work when I told her about my one eyedness, told me about a guy she knows who only has to wear a contact in one eye all the time. He wears glasses sometimes and one eye is magnified and the other isn't. . .
watched an amazing movie tonight about the evils of walmart. Former scoffer, now appalled.
also, heard about this company that distributes dvds of independent films at the same time that they put 'em in the theathers and you can subscribe to it
